A large number of companies operate Margaret River tours which can include canoeing, abseiling, climbing, walking, mountain-bike rides, sightseeing through the wineries and also surfing tours. Wine tasting is an immensely popular activity here and itineraries can be planned at the Margaret River Regional Wine Centre. Most of the wineries are located along Caves Road or the Bussell Highway with potteries, galleries and craft workshops along the way also worth a visit. The region also features many caves and exploring them is another popular activity amongst visitors. The Caveworks visitor centre on Caves Road provides a good introduction to these caves as well as displays of the various fossils which have been found.

Getting to Margaret River
Margaret River is located approximately 300km south of Perth and can be reached via one of two main highways i.e. The Coast Road or the South Western Highway also known as the inland route.

The Margaret River visitors centre lies on the corner of Bussell Highway and Tunbridge Street and provides guests with plenty of information as well as its own wine centre.
