The largest water theme park in Australia, Wet n Wild in the Gold Coast is located approximately 20km north of Surfers Paradise and 50km south of Brisbane on the Pacific Motorway just next to Movie World. The park features a whole range of water-based rides in all forms imaginable. Thrill seekers will revel in the array of exciting rides which combine a variety of twists, turns, high speeds, storms and dark tunnels to get the adrenaline pumping. Of course, there are also plenty of milder rides where visitors can relax while floating atop gentle waves or riding through family-oriented slides. The park also features a unique outdoor cinemas where the latest movies are screened to viewers in deckchairs or tubes on a pool. Facilities offered here include lockers, shower rooms, ATMs, a convenient form of currency known as Splash Cash as well as coin-operated barbecues so that visitors can bring their own picnic to the park. The Wet n Wild theme park is easily accessible with most of the major bus service operators from Brisbane, Surfers Paradise and the Sunshine Coast making regular stops. Free parking is available at the front of the park.
