Gippsland
Stretching across the southeastern corner of Australia is Victoria's Gippsland region. An abundance of national parks, lakes and deserted coastline fueled by thriving wilderness and wildlife make this one of the most popular destinations in the country. On the west of Gippsland is the coal-mining centre of Latrobe Valley as well as the South Gippsland area where the magnificent Wilsons Promontory National Park resides. Lakes District and the Wilderness Coast form part of East Gippsland which is backed by the wild forests of the Great Dividing Range. See our detailed Gippsland map.
