Hartley's Creek Crocodile Farm in Cairns

Hartley's Creek Crocodile Farm

Get up close and personal with the crocodiles if you dare at Hartley's Creek Crocodile Farm at the beautiful ocean road located on the Cook Highway between Cairns and Port Douglas

The site for for the farm was once used as a mining region for tin with the surrounding land having been severely degraded by years of tree clearing, logging and unsustainable farming practices.

However, following some creative developments in the area, Hartley's Creek Crocodile Farm today rates as one of the best places to witness crocodiles and native wildlife in Tropical North Queensland.

The farm features hundreds of crocodiles of various species including Freshwater crocodiles as well as Estuarine or Saltwater crocodiles whilst also being home to many animals native to Australia including koalas, kangaroos, cassowaries, dingoes, snakes and reptiles.

Daily presentations are scheduled here which include crocodile shows, wetland wildlife, snake shows, cassowary feeding and koala feeding amongst others.

Hartley's Crocodile Adventures can also arrange for transfers to the farm from Cairns or Port Douglas. Contact them for more information.
