Bedarra Island
Bedarra Island is an exclusive resort island located just off the coast of Mission Beach, south of
Dunk Island and between the cities of Cairns and Townsville. Part of the Great Barrier Reef's Family Group of Islands, the mile-long tropical paradise consists of rainforests fringed by pristine beaches. With discreet staff and day-trippers banned from the island, it's a popular getaway for the rich and famous as well as honeymooners and couples seeking the ultimate in privacy and relaxation. See our detailed Bedarra Island map. Things to See and Do
The emphasis at Bedarra Island is on peace and plenty of relaxation. Guests can take their time in sampling the resort's sumptuous cuisine in between soaking in their private pool, lazing away at the beach, walking along rainforest trails, fishing, snorkeling in the nearby reef or indulging in the whole range of outdoor and watersports activities available. Not to be missed is the opportunity for a private picnic where the resort's chef will prepare a gourmet hamper for guests who are transported by boat to their very own exclusive beach in a secluded bay. Private helicopters are also available to take guests to Lizard Island for those who wish to experience a bit more of what the reef has to offer.
