You can indulge in just about any form of treatment imaginable at the plethora of spas and health-centres found at Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. The historic Hepburn Spa Resort and Daylesford Day Spa, in particular, come recommended as does the Lake House's Salus Day Spa and the Spa House in Peppers Springs Retreat. If you ever decide to take a break from the self-pampering and indulgence, there's plenty more to see here besides the spas, massages and mud baths. Located just behind the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens is the Convent Gallery, a charming 19th-century convent that's been made into an art gallery and cafe. Boats and kayaks are available at the serene Lake Daylesford and you can enjoy a meal at the nearby Boat House Cafe that overlooks the lake. Just 3km southeast of town is the equally beautiful Jubilee Lake. The Daylesford Spa Country Tourist Railway operates rides from the Daylesford Railway Station on restored heritage trains through scenic countryside and forests. On Sundays, the Daylesford Sunday Market is held near the train station. Further up north, in Shepherds Flat near Hepburn Springs, is the picturesque Lavandula Swiss Italian Lavender Farm where visitors can marvel at breathtaking fields of colourful lavender that are harvested for producing body products.
