The Whitsunday Airport (not to be confused with the larger Whitsunday Coast Airport near Proserpine) is a small airport located between Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour. The airport services a range of light airplanes, seaplanes and helicopters that transport passengers to and from the various islands in the Whitsundays. Air Whitsunday offers tours and transfers on its planes to the Hayman and Long Island resorts while HeliReef and Island Air, which are operated by Aviation Tourism Australia have flights to Daydream, Hamilton, Hayman, Long and South Molle Island.
