Noosa Main Beach & Laguna Bay

Noosa Main Beach & Laguna Bay

The picturesque Laguna Bay in Noosa lies on the north side of the narrow strip of land where the busy Hastings St in Noosa Heads, the town's favourite hangout, runs through.

Along the coast of Laguna Bay is Noosa's Main Beach, one of the very few northern facing beaches in Queensland and definitely the town's most popular and accessible beach amongst locals and tourists alike.

Patrolled by the Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club, the small waves of the beach, rarely over a metre high, and flat sandy bottom make the ocean safe for swimmers and ideal for surfing beginners all year round.

Fish such as Whiting, Bream, Dart and Flathead frequent the waters here allowing for good fishing from either of the two rock walls.

Further along, past the charming Little Cove beach, is Noosa National Park. The gentle breezes and calming waters of Noosa Main Beach and Laguna Bay make for the perfect place to relax after a day of bushwalking and other exciting activities at the national park.

For some great views of the beach and surrounding area, take a drive up to the Laguna Lookout on Noosa Hill further inland at the end of Viewland Dr which runs off Noosa Dr from Noosa Heads.
