Currumbin Beach is nestled between the distinct Elephant Rock and Currumbin Point. Over at Currumbin Creek is a popular site for surfing, especially with longboards, known as Currumbin Alley, or simply 'The Alley'. The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary lies back towards the coast where flocks of multi-coloured birds gather to feed in the mornings and afternoons. The large bushland park also has tree kangaroos, koalas, emus and many more Autralian fauna as well as a botanical garden. The Currumbin Valley lies inland up Currumbin Creek Road where attractions such as the valley's freshwater rock pools, Mount Cougal and Camp Eden are located.

Getting to Currumbin
Currumbin is easily accessible via the Gold Coast Highway from other places along the Gold Coast. Visitors traveling from Brisbane can also take the Pacific Motorway and turn off at Duringan Street. Regular Surfside bus services travel through Currumbin, making stops at various places including at Tomewin Street just outside Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The closest airport to Currumbin is the Gold Coast Airport near Coolangatta.
